ARTS IN THE OLIVES WORKSHOPS

Create a picture or a pattern. Learn about wax and dyes and wondrous colour on                 shimmering fabrics. Something to wear or something to frame.

3.Romy Andres:  Nuno Felting
Enjoy the magic of creating a beautiful nuno felted scarf
4.Robyn Van Holland:  Basketry
Learn more techniques used to produce baskets and woven shapes, using natural fibre found in most gardens. Workshops suitable for non-beginners.
5.Janet Hauser: Basics of botanical art
Introducing you to skills required to portray a plant specimen accurately. A w'shop for those with some drawing/painting experience.

6.Beaudesert Potters: Pottery for the garden
Will take beginners and more experienced potters through hand building techniques and ideas to create sculptures for your garden.

7.South east Queensland Fly Fishers Association: Fly Fishing
A course in fly fishing incorporating fly tying, casting , rigging and practical application.
8.Therese Flynn Clarke : Basketry for beginners
Create a twined basket using a variety of plant fibres with a stitched border or a
 stitched basket using a variety of plant fibres and recycled materials. Workshop suitable for beginners.

9.Bec Anderson   : Rug hooking
Transform old fabric with dyes, slice into strips and hook into backing- a great workshop to put you on the path to bigger and better rugs of your own.

10.Ross McLennan: Songwriting and music composition
Explore the art and craft of song writing and music composition with accomplished musician Ross McLennan
11.Gilbert Louttit: Black Smithing
Experience what magic can happen when you make hard, hard metal red hot & hammer it with creative intent. Instruction and materials provided. Take something home.
12. John Trier: Horn and Pewter
Master craftsman will show how cow horn is used to make things of beauty, both functional and decorative.
13. Blue Dog Photography:
Join one of the Bluedog Photography Team and learn the art of photography. During the two sessions we will cover portraiture, lighting, composition and get you working your camera off auto!
14. Mosaicing
Learn how to make a mosaic mirror. Several designs available.  All materials supplied


FRIDAY 7 May, SATURDAY 8 May, SUNDAY 9 May CLASS
Michael Epworth: Bodja chairmaking
Using recycled wood, participants will carve and assemble a beautiful Bodja chair in a three day workshop. The skills covered will be the ancient art of drawkniving, wood recognition. timber processing, basic assembly, finishing.

Create large scale sculptural installations for decorating olive grove for festival (to take home after festival if desired)
